County wide graduation exercises for rac ral schools set for Saturday at Spicer on Green Lake. If weather permits the pavilion will host the program otherwise M W A hall. Class Day Exercises Highlight Senior Program
The program opened with a piano duet by Hazel and Vernice Peterson. Misa Norine Hawkland read the class will and Miss Lorence Magnuson delivered the prophecy. Geraldine Haley played a piano solo as part of the program. The seniors joked about class conduct in a performance by the Normal department. John Dale, class president, thanked the faculty and presented a flag pole to stand between the high school and Central buildings. The class song was performed by a quartet including Walt Erickson, John Dale, Edna Sanderson and Adeline Ma.

Pioneer Willmar merchant R Y Lewis Rodlun dies at 63
Lewis Rodlun a longtime Willmar businessman and pioneer resident died at home Sunday June 3 from anemia after a 18 month illness. Born Sept 11 1850 in Varmland Sweden he arrived in Willmar in 1871 and built Rodlin Johnson a general merchandise and clothing firm. He was a charter member of the United Workmen and Swedish Society and is survived by wife Cecelia and six children including Lawrence Esther Clifford Troy and Edward V.

Obituary notes Peter Hanson of Lake Lillian Kandiyohi county aged 85 with Swedish roots. He married Karin Erickson in 1859 and emigrated to America in 1882 settling in Lake Lillian. Survived by son Hans Peterson four daughters and twenty eight grandchildren. two brothers survive. The Dovre and Mamre Insurance Company held its annual meeting Monday in Willmar with President Jab mar Larson presiding. Minutes and auditor reports were read and approved, bylaws amended and ordered printed. Six directors were nominated with Bergquist and Pederson elected for three years. The annual statement showed cash on hand 335.45 and premiums 4 265.79. Many couples obtained licenses in May including Albert Rykken and Sigrid Gynild, John Gramhill and Anna Gramhill, and others.
