Twine shortages loom as Willmar dealers report they can sell twelve to fifteen thousand pounds more than available for harvest. An international dealer says five carloads could move between Willmar and Benson if supply existed, with wheat needing up to two-fifths more twine. Farmers who stockpiled may aid neighbors, but the market remains tight for the grain season.

Prof A A Stomberg of the State University Swed ish department visited Willmar and Svea last Friday praising the Willmar school meeting for adopting Scandinavian languages in public schools this year. He noted Scandinavian language standings are practically recognized at the university and discussed textbook supply for schools. Rev Theo Livingstone of Swedish M E church received a surprise party at Mrs J A Johnsons home 625 Sixth St last Saturday night with gifts and refreshments.

The Willmar Tribune reports Elliott Vik was not at fault after a bicycle collision with Nelson who admitted fault or near fault. Nelson had just left a hospital where a cousin was injured and was not watching closely. The county fair grounds committee will soon map layouts and auction privileged locations to the highest bidders with sale dates to be announced.

County State Fair Exhibit Under Way
Supt. John Ahlstrom of the County Exhibit at the State Fair visited the city this week to arrange the display. He enlisted Peter Bonde and E. E. Lawson to assist in the booth design. Kandiyohi county will occupy the same booth as last year in the Agricultural Building.

Obituary of Peder Lindquist a Roseland pioneer in Illinois
Peter Lindquist born January 19 1851 in Lifferbo Gagnef Sweden came to America in 1868. He filed the first Roseland township homestead and served as township supervisor and school district treasurer. Survived by eight children, he died July 21 after stomach cancer. Funeral July 26 at Christine church with Rev. A J Ryden officiating.

Adolph Norman Dies After Illness at St Paul Hospital
The sad news of Adolph Norman's death came Monday in this city. He died Sunday at Bethesda hospital in St. Paul at 7:30 p.m. Born in Los Parish Sweden on March 4 1868 he came to America as an infant. He grew up in Mamre township and became a noted buttermaker at several creameries including Mamre Litchfield Hub George Lake Spicer and Finlayson Minn. He had been ill with internal hemorrhages for about a month and was improving before his death. He leaves his wife Albertina Nor sen and two children Chester and Ruby, his mother Mrs Anders Ryden, and three sisters.

Funeral announced for resident of Mamre with spring Park kin
Granlund and Anna Ander son of Spring Park Minnesota are mourning a death. The body was moved from St Paul to Mamre by August Norman, the brother and manager of Svea cooperative store. Funeral to be held Thursday at 2 pm with Rev G Peterson presiding at Mamreland churchyard. Interment follows in the churchyard. A parcel shower for Miss Thora Peterson, bride elect, at 1021 Campbell Avenue featured flowers and hearts, about thirty guests attended with games music and lunch.

Benson motorists arrived in Willmar on a sociability tour with 43 cars from Benson and others from DeGraff Murdock and Kerkhoven. A Minnesota state convention of Roosevelt supporters organized a third party with about 500 in attendance. Eight of twelve electors destined for the Republican ticket resigned from Taft. Delegates to Chicago include H. Halbert, P. W. Collins and C. W. Gilmore with alternates from several districts. The movement aims to test progressiveness without bolting the GOP ticket.

Crookston Aviator Refused Flight Before 5000 Crowd
Crookston Minnesota July and Jim mie Ward declined to fly at the fair Sunday as 5000 spectators gathered outside the fence for a free peek. After his manager roasted the crowd, the $62 admission was refunded and Ward left for Regina. He stayed aloft 26 minutes the prior Saturday in a notable display.

Mrs J Anglish traveled to South Dakota to attend the funeral of her sister-in-law Mrs Henry Butler of Vermillion who died Wednesday at an Hudson Wisconsin sanitarium.
