Vinje Synod Lutheran in Willmar hosted the ordination of Herman Estrom as a minister. Five clergy members participated, readings highlighted the candidate’s life, and Estrom received laying on of hands and a mission blessing. Offerings for home missions totaled 64.53 dollars and Estrom will serve as assistant pastor in Madison, South Carolina, with initial sermon August 11.

Big Home Wedding Unites Miss Youngberg and Henry Goldhamer
Last Sunday at two o'clock a home wedding took place at John Lundberg’s residence on Monongalia Avenue and Thirteenth Street. Miss Josephine Sadie Youngberg and Henry S. Goldhamer were married by Rev. Michaelson in the Lutheran Free church setting, about 130 guests attended, and a wedding dinner followed. The bride wore white peau de crepe with lace, and roses. Julia Youngberg was bridesmaid and George Goldhamer attended the groom. Afterward the couple will live in Kerkhoven where the groom works in his father’s mercantile business.
