Rally A Success At Whitefield Sunday School Convention
A Sunday School rally in P. P. Eddy grove Whitefield drew about 200 attendees. Local participants helped with the program as papers were read and discussed. Devotions provided inspiration. A county convention is planned for September 2 and 3 in this city.
Overcoat Button Found To Relieve Internal Obstruction
Surgeons at Rochester hospital report Miss Berths Lohrenz of Redwood Falls survived a lifelong intestinal blockage after an overcoat button lodged inside was safely removed. Doctors believe the button was swallowed in early childhood and its timely removal offers renewed hope for her health. experts cite a near-fatal outcome if treatment were delayed. Additionally, an ice cream social will be hosted on the lawn of E G Berglund in Pennock by the Mamreland church Young People's society, and Gena Berg, a Willmar Seminary graduate, has joined Overseas and Downs as a stenographer.

H T Olsen proprietor of Will Mar Marble Works has started improvements to the old Benson avenue building east of the Nordin residence for his marble works. The current Pacific avenue site, once occupied, is now Ki land property. The Benson avenue building, bought from O E Ruble, will be transformed from a residence into a business facility, improving its appearance.

Nursing Fractured Arm From Calf Incident
Jono Wsoremou of Kendiyobi required a sling after injuring his right arm while attempting to catch a lively calf on his farm. He seeks treatment in the city from Dr. Harold Frost. Gabrielson fractured his arm three inches below the elbow during the same incident when the animal ran into a tree. Remains of H. S Wakeman were interred in Lakewood Cemetery after services at his Minneapolis home. Mrs Minton recently enjoyed a visit at Merchants from an uncle and aunt in Contloopk Canada.

Fires destroy farm implement house and barn in the city
Two early Thursday fires caused extensive damage in the city, destroying Mrs. Wesley Burr’s barn on Benson Avenue and the large G. A. Erickson implement house at Third Street and Henson Avenue. Losses exceed twelve thousand dollars with most insured. Fire officials blamed incendiary origins and saved much of the Erickson stock and machinery.

Miss Clara Johnson married Theodore Hall last Friday at Benson. Best man Ludvig Hall and bride’s attendant Julia Johnson from Murdock. Parents hosted a Sunday reception three miles north of Kerkhoven with about 50 guests and gifts including cash. The couple will live on the groom’s father’s farm. Lawn Social Tonight by the Swedish Baptist church on the parsonage lawn at 7. Miss Kathryn Mossberg visited Willmar.

NABBED BY SHERIFF
Kerkhoven was disrupted by a horse theft on Friday July 15 as Robert Mahlow found his horse missing and reported it to the sheriff. Frei Chester, from Massachusetts, stole the horse and buggy, was captured with handcuffs after a pursuit that crossed to Pennock, and transferred to Benson after a preliminary hearing. If convicted, Sheriff Lundquist stands to receive a $200 reward.
