Postmen Hold Convention Here In Willmar Frigate
The Minnesota State Association Of Letter Carriers held their annual convention in Willmar last weekend with about thirty delegates and officers from across the state. The meeting opened Friday at the Masonic building with A B Sand of St Paul presiding. Fred Truax spoke on fairer salaries and M F Donahue outlined retirement pensions. An evening banquet at the Masonic hall featured remarks by Cdr Truax and postmaster AO Forsberg. Saturday saw resolutions adopted and officers elected including Louis Christenson of Duluth as president and Claude Carpenter of Crookston as vice president.
