Willmar Park Assembly Faces Financial Crisis
The Willmar Park Assembly reports receipts for the just completed season will not reach 1700, about half of last year, with losses over 1200 and higher fixed costs. Stockholders vow to keep the park alive on a business basis and seek new funding, possibly via an independent Chautauqua group or use as the annual Street Fair site, with negotiations underway to rent the park for amusement purposes this season.

Peterson Magnuson wedding at bride's home
Miss Clara A. Peterson daughter of Mr and Mrs C C Peterson married Nels H Magnuson at the bride's parents home five miles east of the city last Saturday afternoon Rev Walters of Tripolis officiated. The bride wore a white lawn gown and carried bride's roses. Bridesmaids Emma Peterson and Bessie Magnuson. Groom's attendants Ernest Nelson and Arthur Perseveres. Mary Monson Dead at 33 After Sudden Illness
Mary Monson died at her sister’s home on July 10 from peritonitis, age 33 years 5 months 21 days. Born January 19, 1878 on the home farm, she lived in the county then moved to the city two years ago. She leaves her father Bengt Monson two sisters Mrs Victor Linman and Annie Monson and four brothers Andrew Albert Nelson and John. Funeral at 2 pm with Rev Carl Oberg, burial in Baptist cemetery.

Ole Angerson aged 7 years 10 months died at the home of Mrs O H Gustrnd in Dovre last Saturday July 1 from cerebral hemorrhage. He was born in Norway Sept 20 1832. He leaves a daughter who came with her husband L E Hommre from Roslyn South Dakota to attend the funeral held Wednesday at Hange's Synod Lutheran Long Lake church conducted by Rev I J Johanson.

The Willmar sewer bond proposition will be presented again to voters next Tuesday to authorize bonds for a sewer system. Changes since the last election require using eight inch mains instead of six inch pipes. The State Board of Health stays in contact with the local board and Prof Base may visit Willmar to address residents before the election.

Large Barn Burned at Dekker Lougee Farm Roseland
A large barn on Mrs. D. Dekker’s Lougee property in Roseland burned Sunday afternoon. Tenant Louis Van den Einde and two oldest children were at church. wife napped inside. A horse, two calves, and a pig died. Most farm gear burned. hay and machinery partly insured. Fire origin unknown. spontaneous combustion in hay proposed.
