Florida travelers ride 2400 miles to Willmar visit

A party of ten from Florida led by Chas Gabrielson arrived in Willmar after a 2400 mile automobile journey through Indiana Illinois and Minnesota. They traveled without repairs or delays. They will stay two weeks visiting relatives before a six member group departs Monday for Dunwoody Institute training in Minneapolis.

Boy Scouts Open Invitations To Local Boys Over Twelve

The Methodist Church Boy Scouts extend a hearty invitation to local boys over twelve to join their summer activities. A successful hike last Friday drew interest, and a similar outing is planned for next Friday under Rev. Luther Benson who encourages this wholesome routine for youth.

Major Rice visits Willmar before returning to France

Major Cushman A. Rice of Willmar Minnesota, who led American airmen in France at the start of the German spring drive, testified before the senate military affairs committee on war zone airplane shortages. He is part of a five man air service selection commission and plans to visit his father in Willmar before heading back to France. Spring Creek Picnic Urges War Prohibition Support

A large Sunday picnic near Sunbury organized by the Lutheran Ladies Aid heard Hon. W. G. Calderwood urge Minnesota war time prohibition and ratification of the state constitutional amendment. A telegram to Senators Nelson and Kellogg pressed adoption of war prohibition with a Willmar reply promising consideration.
