Frelander plans radical changes including absolutely free admission, a bring your own lunch eating pavilion, and coffee and ice cream available upon request. Tax League Organized Amid Willmar Meeting
A Willmar gathering drew about seventy five citizens to Carlson Hall to form a tax league. Dr C Johnson led the session, City Attorney Stanford warned of higher property taxes without proper listing, and President Russell Spicer defended school land purchases and State aid. Officers were elected, and a committee to draft by laws formed. A petition asks to add Scandinavian languages to Willmar schools and will be on the July 20 school meeting agenda.

A Park Region Echo letter exposes how Panama Canal bonds were sold with only 26 percent cash by NY bankers who deposited the bonds with the U S treasurer as security for national bank notes. The scheme left the public paying a 2 percent interest while bankers gained a $1 bond for 25 cents, then received a full value note. In West Lake on Sunday the East Norway Lake Synod and United churches conducted joint services at Norway Lake church with Rev Sotendahl officiating and Rev Jordahlt speaking. Neighbors of the Flange brothers celebrated the 4th quietly, with speeches by Edward Kambestad Elmer Hauge and others. P J Yilterboe gave a welcome and introduced speakers, the event ending with satisfaction.

Three Killed at Grove City Auto Tragedy
A Great Northern eastbound train struck an automobile near Grove City Sunday night, killing three aboard and injuring one seriously. Nelson Hawkinson, his wife Rosella, and six year old Nels Hawkinson died, while N E Hawkinson and another child escaped. The car stalled on the tracks after the engine approached, and the engineer could not stop in time. The victims had been returning from a gathering at Nels P Nelson's home when the fatal crossing occurred.
