The committee of the Nonpartisans of the County pledged continued support at a court gathering. Resolution backed national convention unity and endorses J. Kyle for Congress amid internal party tensions and suspicions of influence. Local residents from many areas will oversee activities for two weeks.
North Dakota voters show overwhelming support for the New Narian League ticket as results trickle in. Lynn Dzier lead Langer by about 5,000 votes with hopes of winning 88 counties, while U. S. Senator candidate Groom leads over D. Young in early tallies. Governor and state officials see mixed returns as precincts remain uncounted.
A Great Northern six car train derailed near Pipestone at 12:30 am on a rainy night. No fatalities reported though Harry Maddison and D W McLaughlin were badly injured. relief trains brought physicians. Conductor W J TeW and other crew sustained minor to moderate injuries as the blaze from gas lamps consumed cars. Passengers were moved to the day train at Willmar.
An auxiliary to Col. Roosevelt Camp No. 20 United Spanish War Veterans was instituted with full ceremonies. Mrs Rice, widow of a Civil War veteran, was honored as patroness. State department officials aided in installation. New officers include Delia B. Vasey president and Thea Johnson treasurer, among others. Atty Chas A. Oberg arrived to take charge of a law practice and move his family to Willmar as local notices list a string of visitors and residents returning or traveling through the city.
A severe hailstorm battered Arctander township with debris and broken windows. The storm damaged crops in several areas, with reports of fences and property harmed. Residents described a murky sky and disrupted travel as community efforts began to assess losses and secure safety. Nearby events include a wedding at the Lindblad home, a phonograph prize win, obituaries for Mrs. S A Syverson and Margit Malverson, and local road and concert news.
Mrs. Alfred Larson prominent resident of Bethéda in Hayes Swift County died at a private sanatorium after illness. Born August 1875 as Ineg Cerelin Frederickson she taught school briefly and married Alfred Larson June 21 1905. Survived by two sons Marvin and Walso, two brothers Theodore and Walter Frederickson, a sister Mia Marlin Egerstrom, and many relatives. Funeral at Bethes Ga Lutheran church with Rev. Lindahl officiating. obituary to follow.

A nine member committee reported progress on forming a new ball park and Athletic Association. They plan to incorporate at ten thousand dollars with stock at twenty five dollars a share, aiming to sell at least two hundred fifty shares. Each stockholder has one vote regardless of shares. A nine member board will manage the corporation.
