One Hundred Boys To Leave In July
The daily papers report 100 registrants will be called to leave Willmar in Kandiyohi county during four days starting July 22. These men travel to Camp Wadsworth for training. The latest North Dakota results show Gov. Frazier leading with 50 862 votes to Steen 85 852 with 200 precincts incomplete. Nonpartisan League candidates were nominated for the state ticket and three congressmen. Albert Murphy, who joined the National Guard two years ago and served on the Mexican border, has returned home with an honorable discharge and now works for the Great Northern in town.

Canadian Soldier Talks War Tales at Dreamland Theatre
Corporal Briant of the Canadian army, a Minnesota native born near Forest Lake, spoke at Dreamland Theatre about trench life, German tactics, and Allied relief efforts after months in France. He praised American Red Cross and YMCA aid, noted Belgian hardships, and described front films and a tenor soloist as part of the program. Theodore Anderson of Austin, Minnesota, reported heavier rain in his area.

Obituary Prank Gustafson Pioneer of New London Passed
Frank Gustafson a respected pioneer west of New London died June 25 at New London village from heart failure at 76 years 7 months 13 days. Born November 12 1841 in Sweden he immigrated 1864 to America. Survived by children Leyi Martin Alfred Edward and two step sons twenty five grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Funeral at Lebanon church New London conducted by Rev. A P Almer. Remains interred Oak Hill cemetery with pallbearers Elias Johnson C J Johnson Cc H Bengtson Gust Monson A P Almquist and John Newlin.

Martha Reishus Soprano Concert at Synod Church July 16
Miss Martha Reishus, soprano of note, will give a concert at the Synod church on Tuesday July 16 under the auspices of the U P Society. Net proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.
