Luther League to Be Organized in Willmar District

The Willmar District of the Minnesota Conference of Swedish Lutheran Church held meetings at Bethel and Mamrelund churches, electing officers and planning a Luther League for Young People. A five member committee will organize the league. Duluth synod delegates were named. aid for small congregations authorized. Behrens family from Litchfield visiting Mrs Woodcock.

Willmar Park Assembly plans for 1911 session

Willmar stockholders held their first annual meeting reporting 14961.89 spent on grounds and improvements. Receipts for 1910 covered all expenses despite late dates and harvest setbacks. Stock cash paid in reached 6200.00 with new executive members elected and officers chosen. 1911 dates set for June 24 to July 4 and season tickets 3.00.

Mrs Sonstegard remembered for faith and service

Obituary notes Mrs Maren Sonstegard nee Carlson born Oct 3 1841 in Modom Norway came to the United States in 1867. She died Jan 19 beloved mother and neighbor. Her years of faith and service included leadership in Bethania Ladies and attendance at Lutheran Synod services. She left a memory of maternal devotion and community involvement.

Pioneer Mother Dies After Long Life Of Faith And Service

The obituary recounts the life of a Norwegian pioneer wife Amund Sonstegard died 1909 leaving nine children Claus Carl Bernhard Rudolph Amani Julia and Olaf. Funeral held January 23 with Rev Tolo praising her loyalty to the church and missions and her help to neighbors and the Ladies Aid.
