A meeting at D. N. Tallman’s telephone office set in motion plans for a new hotel stock company. D. N. Tallman presides as president with J. S. Robbins as vice president and L. O. Thorpe as treasurer. Prospective renters J. P. Bhattuck and A. E. Zonne mustered six percent rent on cost for ten to fifteen year terms. Articles of incorporation to be drafted this week. Stock raised to 21,000 and more expected.

Sioux City Deed Transfers Western Line to Great Northern
A deed filed in Sioux City transfers the Sioux City Northern line from W. B Tod to Willmar Sioux Falls line part of the Great Northern system. The road was foreclosed on Dec 12 1909 with Tools buying for 1 500 000 while the Waynefer to Great Northern consideration stands at 2 500 000. Seminary notes report rising enrollment and student efforts to support the band with a committee from the Misses Smith Gilger Ramstad Lien and Boyd.

Depot Visit Ends With Pneumonia Fears
Mrs A B Smith visited her husband in St Paul last week and left on a belated train. She arrived home to Willmar Monday and, due to staying at the depot overnight, contracted a severe cold that is suspected to have become pneumonia. Mr Smith, travelling for the road and located at Belgrade, learned of the illness and went to Maynard. Friends hope the illness does not worsen. she is reported improving at this time.

Residence construction to rise in First ward in 1903
Several fine residence buildings are planned for the coming season in the First ward. D N Tallman plans a building near Ella avenue and Tenth Street costing about 3000 dollars for autal purposes. The Russell Spicer residence is estimated at about 8000 dollars when finished. Contractors anticipate a busy season in 1903, though few large projects are set.

The ceremony occurs at the bride’s brother Clement Baldwin’s home with Rev. Johnson officiating and only immediate relatives present. Relatives include Albert and Mrs. Baldwin and Anna Baldwin of Sioux Falls. The couple’s families extend best wishes for the quiet home affair. Meanwhile, Schmidt sues for 25000 in a federal case against Western Union Telegraph Co. over a 1901 injury of a ground man employed by Great Northern Railway, with former Willmar lineman Young testifying. the case was dismissed for insufficient evidence.

Parkers Freeze in Transit Dead Hogs
Sixty seven of one hundred thirty five hogs perished from cold while en route from North Dakota to South Dakota on the Great Northern. The open stock car and road impassability caused the delay, leaving the carcasses on the siding until Wednesday. Shipments should use closed cars to prevent further loss and shrinkage in weight. Accident at Engine Works injures Willmar worker
William Johnson of the Willmar Gasoline Engine Works suffered a facial gash Monday while dressing down stool in the blacksmith shop. Dr. Peterson treated the wound with several stitches, yet Johnson remained on duty and did not miss work.
