Granite Falls election: saloons banished and local officers elected
In Granite Falls the village election voted to ban saloons by a 29 vote margin. B E Nelson, a former Willmarite, won the presidency. Fire chiefs Ole Lindquist and O A Hedio were chosen at a joint meeting. Fire Company No 2 named officers Peter Faber g, Swan Larson, Peter Bonde, Frank Windblade, M D Manning, and Rev O N Lindh as chaplain. Also noted are plans to repair fire-damaged buildings and reopen a feed store. James Funk Jr sought pardon at the new state board of pardons, amid ongoing local concern about crime and arson.
