Willmar Commercial Club closes a good year
The Willmar Commercial Club held its annual meeting in harmony. Officers and committees were reappointed, a public welfare fund report showed 1726.14 raised and spent, and plans were made to host Scandinavian lags and a rest room project. Retiring county officials Otterness and Felg were honored at a banquet with gifts and toasts by Judge Gilbert.

County Agent Reports Results in Hog Cholera Fight
County Agent Poe summarizes the season on hog cholera control. About 900 farmers attended 27 meetings from April to December. Serum use cost over $3,500 with 20,000 cc state and 223,000 cc commercial serum stocked. On 148 farms, 4,587 hogs treated. 2,669 sick hogs vaccinated with 2,081 saved. Overall net saving estimated above $25,000 after costs.
