Charter Amendments Reported by City Council

Charles L Pillsbury city engineer presented a 35438 dollar preliminary plan for a municipal telephone exchange with 1600 line capacity and 600 subscriber instruments. The Charter Commission proposes three amendments including petition thresholds for saloon votes, city bonding for sewer projects, and longer payment windows for special assessments. Official notice to publish in Tribune and another city newspaper was ordered.

Willmar Lutheran Synod Conference Held Next Week

The Willmar Lutheran Synod conference meets at the Commercial Club rooms over Tuesday to Thursday with two daily sessions for doctrinal and practical papers. Settlement Reached With Willmar Sash For 500

Hugo Hoglund who lost fingers at the Willmar Sash and Door Factory settles with the company for 500. The deal was arranged through Andrew Jorsell whose accident insurance covers factory incidents.

West Lake Creamery to discontinue milk collection

Archander Feb 14 The West Lake Creamery Association held its annual meeting and decided to end milk collection due to hand separators. They will replace the steam engine with a gasoline engine and did not pursue consolidating with Kerkhoven creamery. Ole Reigstad elected secretary, replacing E W Johnson. Community notes report local dances, visits, church events, ice cutting for the creamery, and a concert at Synod church basement tonight by the Eleonora Onion company with 25 cent admission.

Miss Esther Rodlin hosted the Hope Club on Tuesday evening and Miss Helen Tallman entertained eight grade friends Saturday. Locals include Ed Rasmuson of Svea and Chas V Johnson planning a Saskatchewan trip, and Amanda Larson hosting Thimble Bee. Various visits, society meetings, and church events fill the week from Friday to Monday, with reminders of baptisms, travels to Mitchell, S.C., and the Twin Cities.
