Town Pastor Prominent In Local Presbyteries Visit
Town’s pastor of the Presbyterian church in Litchfield attended a special Presbytery meeting in the afternoon. Theodore Linn, visiting friends in the county, serves as circulation manager for the Minneapolis Tribune in Moorhead and Fargo and expressed pleasure with his territory. His brother Fred Linn also works for the Tribune, covering South Dakota.

Burglars Loot A Lewis Hardware Cash in Break In
Thieves broke into A N Lewis hardware store last night by smashing an east side door pane and prying open a wooden cash register top with a screwdriver and hatchet. They left with $4 80 from the till, while a dent suggested a failed safe entry. Mr Lewis offers ten dollars for information leading to arrest. Also, seventeen seminary students were dropped from rolls for a Thursday Bonde hall party, fourteen reinstated after apologizing, three still suspended. Housekeepers Club meets Saturday at 3 PM at Odd Fellows hall with a program of piano solos, vocal pieces, recitations, a reading, and a trio.

Last Friday Willmar faced a historic blizzard with wind at 40 miles per hour and the temperature dropping to 10 below. Wires and poles were blown down disrupting nearly all telephone lines and train service, stranding residents as crews worked to restore connections and clear tracks.

Mendelssohn Birthday Program At High School
The High School commemorated Mendelssohn’s hundredth birthday with a short musical program. Students performed song, marches, choruses, vocal solos and instrumental pieces featuring many named students and teachers. A Swedish Lutheran Young People’s meeting was announced for Feb 10 with a prepared program of solos duets and readings.
New Gymnasium Work Gathers Pace at Willmar
