National Guard Col Fulton of the Fifth Minnesota Infantry in ManKato notifies Henry Young that War Department orders transfer the Fergus Falls company to another city. Willmar may secure the unit if it acts quickly, with recruitment of sixty three unlisted exservice men for one year and others for three years. The unit will get equipment and pay, with eventual federal aid of 37500 to help build an armory, funded by $20,000 legacy from Gov. Rice bringing total to 43000. Miss Inga Imadgh and Miss Woolson inspected all city schools and examined pupils with colds. Pupils with fever were sent home for safety to prevent pneumonia and resume studies quickly. The county nurse made home calls. 329 temperatures were taken. Forty three pupils were sent home for treatment. Eighty four home visits were made. Weighing and measuring in schools began last week. 608 pupils were weighed and measured. Nurses will start physical inspections at the Central buildings.
