Death notices for Hoglund and Erlandson in Willmar area

Carl Adrian Hoglund of Willmar died at Bemidji's St Anthony Hospital after a five day pneumonia illness. Born 1882 in Sweden, he came to Willmar in 1891, served in the Sixth U.S. Cavalry, then worked in the Dakotas and Bemidji. Funeral at Mission Church with Rev. Theo Paulson officiating. Also noted are obituaries for Mrs. Jens Thunem of Torning and Mrs. Ingoborg Erlandson of Mamre, both long Swift/Kandiyohi County residents.

Carriers Lee Sommerville and Sigurd Berkness received gold watches as gifts from patrons. Mrs Ole Lundquist returns from Holmes City after her father Paul Warner’s death. mother stays for the winter. A group of Willmar teachers surprised Miss Alma Sawyer at Hodgson home with luncheon and informal evening. Sawyer has many friends and will not return after the holidays.
