Local businessman C. H. Lindstead dies at 12:15

C H Lindstead a Willmar shoe repairman and former Great Northern railroad man died after a weeklong illness from appendicitis. Born 1866 in Smaland Sweden he immigrated as a child and built a local life with a family of six children. Burial set for Saturday at 1:80 with church services and firemen and Woodmen lodge aiding arrangements.

Plan to add religious instruction postponed to fall term 1923

The plan to introduce religious instruction in Willmar public schools has been postponed until the fall term of 1923 due to time constraints for preparing classrooms and supplying teachers. Denominations must setup spaces and equipment. pastors approved the postponement at Rev. Walter H. Stowe's home, with the Board of Education supporting a future trial.

Four resolutions passed on legislative acts discussion

A meeting in the courthouse discussed Prohibition enforcement Rural Credits Trunk Highway Bond Issue and Gasoline Tax. Senator elect Sletten chaired with C O Bergquist secretary and votes backed drastic Prohibition enforcement and against a ten million Trunk Highway bond and a gasoline tax.

Spanish War Veterans Elect Officers at Roosevelt Camp 20

The Roosevelt Camp No. 20 Spanish War Veterans elected officers at Carlson Hall with L. L. Wetherby as Senior Vice Commander and Oscar Sattergren as Junior Vice Commander. New appointive staff includes Adjutant F. E. Holmberg and Chaplain Albert Ahlberg. Installation set for January 11, 1928 with a codfish supper.

No. 32 Hit at St. Cloud

No. 32, the north bound train from Sioux City to Sandstone, was struck at St. Cloud on Wednesday afternoon. Three people were injured, two seriously. The Within bound for Sandstone had Waxtu on a siding to let No. 4 pass, but the brakeman could not throw the switch, causing the coast flyer to crash into the rear of the local. The accident occurred at 5:50 P.M.

Rest Hospital to Move Quarters

The Rest Hospital will relocate to the existing office building, with hospital on the second and third floors and a sanitary laundry in the basement. The Union Clinic owns the building and will add offices and hospital facilities, aiming for occupancy by January 1st and a staff of five nurses.

Russ Hegness Returns From Berkeley After Injury

Russell Hegness came home last Saturday from the University of California where he attended college. He broke his leg playing football a few weeks ago and now uses a cane as his leg heals. He hopes to return at the start of the second semester if his foot tolerates the trip.

C A Ferring of Willmar writes the Tribune from Omaha that he will spend Christmas with his sisters in Los Angeles, California. He will be away about two months and on returning to Willmar will be engaged in various business matters.

The Central Minnesota Medical Association met at the Elk's Club in this city. Dr John C Jacobs was elected president and Dr C L Scofield secretary. Talks covered public health work, the future of medicine, and knee injuries. A Savoy Cafe banquet followed with out of town doctors present.

Mrs Gina Dahl Dies at 69 in Litchfield Home

Mrs Gina Dahl died Friday at her home in the Litchfield area aged 69 years 7 months and 15 days. The funeral was held Saturday from the Peterson Undertaking Parlors with interment in the Free Lutheran cemetery.

The city council adjourned after approving bids for a 100000 square foot radiation capacity hot water pump to replace the old 50000 sq ft unit. Glacier Trail advocate N B Tyson urged proper marking with steel pole brackets painted to match posts. Brother of James Mulcare Dies Suddenly in Nevada

Thomas Mulcare returned from Nevada after his brother James died unexpectedly. James left a land section and about $4,000 in the bank. Thomas and a niece are the surviving family members. County nurse Miss Inga C. Imadahl visited Kandiyohi and nearby towns, giving a talk at the Atwater Parent-Teacher meeting.
