Train collision injures Lindskog near Grove City
Monday night about seven o clock the east bound fast mail train ran into the rig of Nels A Lindskog two miles west of Grove City. He was driving two horses hitched to a sloob sleigh and had a small load of lumber. One horse was killed. Lindskog was severely cut on the head but not otherwise seriously hurt. He was brought to Litchfield and is at Robertson hospital. Lindskog formerly farmed the Lander place but now on the Salmonson place in Danielson town. One story says he was along the railroad track when the collision occurred.

Telephone Contest At Fergus Falls and Local Exchange Plans
Fergus Falls Minn December 14 arrangements are under way to form a local telephone company and seek city council approval on December 20 to build an exchange. The Northwestern company plans to install a new exchange and raise existing rates while local men claim they can offer first class service at current rates. An interesting contest is anticipated. Herbert Feig hosted a ring toss gathering. The First National Bank quartet beat Willmar Kandiyohi two sets to one to win the championship. Miss Lillie Noren won best individual and Christ Berg took second. A reception followed with musical selections. Hog prices have risen sharply. yesterday Skoog and Anderson paid 7.70 per hundred, a peak since 1893.
