Record Run Beats 1909 Time by Five Hours
Great Northern silk flier arrived in Willmar early Monday with Supt. J A McKinnon in charge. Starting in Yokohama on November 19, the time race against time culminated as the train reached St Paul Union Station at 8:30 Monday morning, beating the 1909 record by five hours. It was slated to reach New York City by midnight.

Obituary for John Henry Parsons of Kandiyohi County
John Henry Parsons died suddenly after heart failure December 3 in Kandiyohi County. He was 51, oldest son of P H Parsons of Spicer, born in Irving, spent most of his life there except three years in Huron South Dakota. He married Margaret Tait and left a wife three daughters and his father. Survived by Mrs R M Whitmus Edith and Ruth Parsons, and many relatives. Funeral Tuesday at one o'clock at his home, Rev Akers of Crookston officiated, burial at Oakside Cemetery. Also classified rental ad for a duplex at Bank of Willmar by 0 7 Sandbo.

Hand Injury At Sawmill Sends Blomquist To Hospital
Ole Blomquist of Rone land suffered a serious cut while sawing wood on his farm last Thursday. A slip tipped the carrier toward the saw and his right hand touched the blade, severing three fingers. He was treated at Willmar hospital, where amputation was avoided. He remains hospitalized a few days.
