The Kandiyohi County Fair Association held its annual meeting at the Commercial Club rooms with reports showing receipts and disbursements. Officers elected include President W. E. Memorial Gift: Luther Seminary Receives Estrem Painting

Joseph O Estrem donates a life sized oil of Martin Luther to Hamline Seminary in memory of his wife Thea Thorpe Estrem. Norwegian artist H Gausta of Minneapolis created the work which was accepted during Reform Day services by President Prof Hove. The piece is praised as Gausta's best and a fitting memorial for the seminary. Willmar Commercial Club December meeting featured B F Woodard outlining the West Central Minnesota Development Association. Committees were named for Willmar meeting logistics including reception publicity and finances. A social session at Carlson Hall followed the afternoon program with light refreshments for visitors to meet and discuss the initiative to develop neglected regional resources.

District offices established at Willmar by Northwestern Ex

Northwestern Telephone Exchange Company reorganizes after acquiring Minnesota Central lines. Willmar becomes district center covering most old Minnesota Central properties in southwestern Minnesota and parts of Northwestern system to Cassel. New offices include District Plant Chief, Traffic Chief, Commercial Manager with assistants and a Willmar storekeeper. Payroll adds about 95 employees. Possible dedicated building at Willmar for telephone offices, similar to St. Cloud HQ.

U professors return to Minneapolis after vacation

Theo Livingstone reading the service along with Loren Hodgson Albert Porter Albert Odell and Hjalmer Swenson returned to Minneapolis Sunday night to resume their duties at the U after a vacation at their homes. Emil Thimnell of Colfax arrived today with a load of household goods for Ole Rud.

Ollie Anderson, Sioux Falls division brakeman, is laid up due to illness. Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Wright and family visited the cities for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. John Flateboe welcomed a son born last Wednesday, Nov. 27. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dalen of Tripolis welcomed a son born Saturday, Nov. 30. December 14 is the last date to file citizenship papers for the March term of court. Mrs. D. W. McLaughlin hosted the Larkin Club at Fifteenth street and Gordon avenue this afternoon. Miss Clara Holtberg will travel to Rochester for Mayo Hospital minor operation for throat trouble. Rev. J. N. Andersen preached at Our Savior’s church in Minneapolis last Sunday. no services at Willmar church. Harry Otos, long at Bethesda hospital, left last Wednesday to Thanksgiving at home.
