Beautiful church wedding in First Presbyterian ceremony
At First Presbyterian church Miss Gertrude Barbara Palm of this city wed Mr Newell Olson of Minot North Dakota with Rev W Bryn Jones officiating in a ceremony for about a hundred guests. The organist Mrs Harold Handy played preludes and the bridal party entered to Mendelssohn. The bride wore white net with messaline and pearl trimming and carried a bridal bouquet. The groom and party entered from the right, ribbon bearers and ushers followed, and the ring bearer carried the ring in an Easter bonnet. The church decor featured ferns and gladiolas, white ribbons on seats, and a lace veil with cap style. The couple left to Mendelssohn as husband and wife. The note mentions a later return to Raynd and a local visit with relatives.

Auto and Horse Collide Near Kerkhoven
Edward M Elkjer and Tom Thompson narrowly escaped serious injury after a horse and colt loose from transient traders darted onto the road west of Kerkhoven. The auto, traveling about eighteen miles per hour, struck the horse. the vehicle ended with minor damage, and Elkjer was exonerated of blame. The day included social events in the area, with bridge afternoons, readings, and kitch en showers for Miss Palm and Miss Palm’s bridal dinner at Interlochen hotel.

Spicer Lad Dies From Injuries After Village Accident
Stanley Wilson eleven, eldest son of Mr and Mrs James Wilson, was playing ball on Spicer main street when a ball rolled into the path of a car driven by Olaf Parsons of Whitefield township. The boy backed into the vehicle and the wheels crushed his chest, dying about ten o'clock Monday evening. Parsons was unable to prevent the accident and was not to blame. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church with Rev W Bryn Jones officiating.

Willmar Man Run Down by Auto in Near Miss
William Kjolsing of Willmar was injured Monday evening on First Street near Becker Avenue when a westbound car driven by Harry Anderson cut in and struck him on both legs, throwing him over the hood. He was taken to Willmar hospital with a broken left leg cast, right leg bruised, right arm hurt, and facial cuts. The incident occurred after eight o'clock as Kjolsing rode home from downtown where he had been arranging a basement excavation contract for a new wholesale fruit house by Stacey and Sons.
