Sioux Falls Man Dies By Suicide In Willmar
Samuel M. Bear, a Sioux Falls resident and traveling salesman for a gasoline lighting firm, killed himself with cyanide in Willmar after being tailed by police. Bear had been under scrutiny for alleged South Dakota troubles and was observed by officers before collapsing on a sidewalk and dying at Dr. Frost's office. The case drew in railroad men and local officials including Sheriff Peter Bonde and Chief Gilbertson, with the coroner recording no inquest. His remains were moved to Sioux Falls for burial.

Fire at Harrison Creamery Destroys Store and Stock
A fire at the Harrison creamery burned the Willmar store to the ground last night. Owned by F. C. Watkins, the loss is estimated at 1500 for the building and 2500 for stock. Big elevator prey of flames at Willmar
A large Minnesota and Western Elevator Company elevator and cleaning house in Willmar was destroyed by fire last Thursday night. Loss estimated at not less than 35000 with about 22000 insured. Local agent L F Hodgson and superintendent C D Christianson were the last to leave the building at 10 pm. The fire caused spread to nearby coal sheds, lighting the city and countryside. Five bins were recently filled with coal for the season’s business. Fuel business to continue under Hodgson. rebuilding unlikely this year. Fire department praised for swift work. The cause is unknown, possibly electric wiring.

The project seeks about 56 miles of drainage with tiling in many sections and an estimated cost up to 70000 dollars.
