Morgan Horses For Japan Seized From Tacoma Sailings
Morgan horses from this country are en route for Japan after sailing from Tacoma Washington on July 12. The shipment sets a potential precedent as no prior carload of a specific breed has been shipped for breeding abroad. Observers expect cross breeding with Japanese and Mongolian mares to improve local horse types. August Maier and Bertha Maier of this county saw the horses at the Chicago show and met Dr. Issa Tanimura of the Japanese Government Commission who purchased them.

Hydroplane crash at Foot Lake ducks occupants
K B Salisbury of Salisbury and Satterlee Co. Minneapolis, with Andrew Peterson and Paul Peterson, piloted a hydroplane over Foot Lake last Monday afternoon. While landing the craft snagged a telephone wire causing a hard landing. All occupants ducked into the lake, were shaken up but unharmed aside from a few cuts. The lower left wing was broken.

Traveling salesman in Fargo suffers rollover near city
About 12 o'clock today a motor vehicle tipped over east of the pavement while O. T. Wolin of Fargo North Dakota, Ajax Tire Co. representative, was enroute to Willmar. The steering apparatus jammed near the pavement, throwing him from the car with no injuries. Vehicle taken to Johnson-Erickson garage for repairs with windshield, top and front axles damaged.
