New London Man Sued for Fifty One Thousand Dollars
A Minneapolis accident involving W S Johnson and associates led to a lawsuit for 51000 dollars plus expenses after their auto struck M A Schae a sugar broker injuring his right hip. Death in Heat Claims Westbank Worker
John McCauley, a field hand for R. Platow of Westbank, Swift County, died after intense heat last Wednesday. Found unconscious in a field, he did not regain consciousness. Authorities received no reply to telegrams to Phoenixville, PA, where relatives were said to live, and he was buried Saturday at Benson.

Mrs Hanna Aspaas Dies at Advanced Age in East Lake Lillian
Mrs Hanna Aspaas widow of Iver C Aspaas of East Lake Lillian died Tuesday evening at her home in the township after a long life marked by hardship and pioneer settlement. Born March 13 1819 in Ibestad Norway she was about 90 years five months old. She married Iver Aspaas in 1844 and three children were born, only Peder Simon of Lake Jillian survives. The family came to the U S in 1862, lived in Chicago three years, then settled on a homestead in section 8 township 117 range 38 before moving to a second farm near the Renville county line in 1891 where they resided thereafter. Funeral held Friday at home and at Norwegian M E St Luke's church.

Frightened Girl Dies After Schoolhouse Incident
In Kerkhoven a six year old girl Theressa, daughter of the postmaster, died after being frightened by a group of boys near a schoolhouse as four young girls, all under 12, walked home at dusk. The event followed a prank that sent Theressa running into the street where she collapsed. Despite efforts by bystanders and a doctor, she did not recover. An inquest was planned as authorities and grieving family consider the act of the hoodlum youths. Funeral services were held the next day amid community sorrow.

Farm Hand C A Larson Killed in Farm Accident
A farm hand named C A Larson died Tuesday morning after a team he was handling on the H Backer farm six miles east of Clara City in Kandiyohi county lunged forward. Standing beside the wagon rack, he struck a lazy horse with a fork, the rack striking his neck as the team jumped. Despite witnesses and a coroner inquiry, Larson aged about fifty died at the scene. He had worked on the Backer farm two months last spring and had ties claimed to Montevideo. Burial was arranged at Raymond, funded by Kandiyohi county.

Front Axle Breaks On Runabout Near City
K. D. Barrett's Mitchell runabout broke its front axle Monday forenoon about three miles from town on the way to Litchfield. Miss Kathryne Spooner and Paul Spooner of Morris were passengers. Miss Spooner was thrown from the car but escaped injury. The party reached town by team, then traveled to Litchfield by train. Barrett ordered repairs and a chauffeur to bring the car home from Northfield.

Paralytic Stroke Strikes Mrs Lundquist in Brandon Visit
