Four young people from this city had a narrow escape when their Studebaker touring car wrecked near Spicer en route to Willmar. The driver, Mr Allman’s son, was pinned under the car and freed by three men. All occupants suffered bruises and cuts but no serious injuries.

The northwest Atwater residence of C F O H air was destroyed by fire at 3 am last Tuesday. Mrs O H air dropped a lamp while frightened by a mouse which caused the blaze. The house and contents were lost though two trunks with papers and a sewing machine on the porch survived briefly before burning. Estimated loss about 2500 with 1600 insured.

Mrs. Larson, long a Willmar resident, died after a life devoted to family welfare and public health. Born near Mar Tell, Wisconsin, she worked in millinery and dressmaking in Prescott before marrying Andrew Larson in 1871 and moving to Willmar. She led Kandiyohi County Public Health, supported St. Luke's Church, and left a large family including her husband, daughter Mrs. Tallman, son Archie M. Larson, eight grandchildren, and siblings. Funeral August 10 was led by Rev. S. C. Thorpe with Willmar sextette singing.

Litchfield Man Arrested For Drunk Driving In Spicer
Arthur E. Larson of Litchfield was arrested by Sheriff Peter Bonde in Spicer for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated last Sunday. His car was seized, bail set at sixty dollars, and he later pleaded guilty in municipal court. He received a fine, $58.10 in costs, and a three month license suspension.
