Ringville News Bids Welcome Aug 8 Gathering

NS RING at Ringville Aug 8 reports a large turnout for Frem tidens Haab young peoples society at Hana Halvorson's home. Local visits include Belgrade residents at Pete Johnsons, and Halvorson's F. S. at the same locale. Bethania Ladies Aid met with Mrs Geo Johnson. many townspeople noted visits, meal gatherings, and a 20th birthday celebration at Stenerson’s. The marriage of Lizzie Gaede to Ernest Harris of Lintonville occurred in Willmar last Monday with a dance to follow.

Gennessee Notes Trace Summer Visits and Moves

Mrs. C D Nelson and family visited at Mrs S B Thorpe’s home on Sunday. Carrie Hallberg stayed with sister Mrs P E Anderson of Kandiyohi for several days. Chas Cederstrom’s wife visited her parents, Mr and Mrs Jonas Berg, Friday and Saturday. John Lundquist helped George Enblom stack hay on Saturday. Anna Klint and Louis Norine of Kandiyohi called at the Berg home Friday afternoon. Mr and Mrs M W Russell and Misses Ethel Russell Edla Oberg, all of Chicago, left Saturday after visiting Rev Carl E Oberg. Miss Oberg remained longer. Mrs Russell is Rev Oberg’s sister. Mrs C S Pierce and Edith and Allyn Pierce visited Green Lake yesterday and will go to Diamond Lake and then Fort Dodge, Iowa, where the Pierce family will settle.

Girls Off for a Jaunt and Banquet for Dr. Newman

Misses Inga Grangaard Edith Thorpe Ella and Leonora Boyd depart for a month long vacation starting with a trip to Duleth and Mackinac Island aboard the Northwest. They will visit Chicago Lee Illinois LaCrosse Red Wing Willmar Eagle Lake and conclude with a week at Eagle Lake while Kilbourne and the Dalles of the Wisconsin River are featured on the return. Dr G A Newman will be honored at a Crow River Valley Medical Society banquet at Interlachen on August 17 before his move to the State hospital in Stillwater. Misses Anna Pritchard and Mary McKenney were weekend guests of Miss Florence Benson and Saturday evening she hosted friends for out of town guests.
