Beggar Charged With Vagrancy On Olson Farm Scene
A Russian beggar calling himself Beggarisky was arrested near Raymond after pleading for alms at the Olson Bros. farm. He was found with wallets totaling about 100 dollars and jailed on vagrancy charges after a trial that ended with a guilty verdict and a 910 fine plus costs. The report notes the man feigned pain for sympathy and carried carbolic acid on him.

Tramp Cries for Help On Westbound Train
A Great Northern conductor hauled a exhausted tramp from beneath a smoking car at Herman on the Breckenridge division after the tramp cried for help claiming a companion had fallen and been killed. The crew later found the corpse on the track with an arm missing at first light, confirming the tale.

Death of Fergus Falls Official Ericson Revered Community Leader
Early Monday city treasurer G A Ericson died at his home from heart failure after a brief illness. Born in Sweden he immigrated in 1888 and became a trusted civic figure and cashier of Fergus Falls National Bank. He and Dora Bakke married a year earlier and a child was born three weeks ago. He survived by brothers A B and Oscar, and his parents in Sweden. Funeral services were held at Congregational church with Modern Woodmen rites at Mt Forth Cemetery.

Watermelon Theft Leads to Quick Trial and Time
Rawerd Gravet and Patrick Wil burn of the Great Northern extra gang were brought before Judge Muller on theft charges after stealing five watermelons from a freight car. They chose trial by the court, were found guilty, fined 25 and costs 30 days in jail, and now serve 60 days in county jail due to financial hardship. Two juvenile helpers were released with no complaints.

City Welcomes New Power Line From Outskirts
The arrose serepnone company has built a new power line toward the city limits and plans to install poles within the week. A 1,000 advance payment was handed to city treasurer Charles Odell by E. C. East of Tri-State company. Alivénne to wed Charles L. Newman and Miss Eilean Nygren was issued last Friday for a two-year franchise. Newman and Nygren wed at the bride’s parents home in Lake Andrew. they will make the city their future home where Newman works at Wiggins plumbing establishment.
