Samuel Bonham, a Willmar racer, suffered a serious accident while testing his car at five o clock last Saturday. Despite warnings he sped through sharp curves, added ether to his gasoline, and the machine flipped on the last lap. He was unconscious until 6 20, with a badly bruised face and a strained back, and is said to be recovering.

Bible School to Open in Willmar and a Willmar Wedding

Jesper Holmvist, with guests from St. Cloud McIntosh Little Falls and Minneapolis as the couple planned a September home.

Death of Charles England in Darwin hay rake tragedy
Charles England, 47, unmarried, died last Wednesday after being dragged by a runaway team with a hay rake at his brother-in-law John Johnson’s Darwin home. Born January 28, 1874 in Cassel town, he was president of Citizens Bank and highly regarded. Funeral services were held Monday, with rites at home and church. He was survived by his father, four sisters, and was related to the Bjornberg family.

Wrist Squeezed in Road Filling Machine Accident
George Pofgrl of this city was caught in a road filling machine last Friday morning about o clock. His right wrist was badly squeezed and flesh worn. The injury was dressed by Dr. Branton. George worked with a road crew on the State Road about 18 miles south when the accident occurred. Left for Portland. Emil Sjodin and daughter Mrs Ant e Sundberg and daughter Myrtle left Thursday for a three weeks trip to Portland Oregon. Mr. Sjodin resides in Portland and has been visiting here. Willmar Club Home Debut With Benson In Ball Game
The Willmar baseball club meets Benson next Sunday at 3 p.m. at the new East Becker Avenue ball park after a 2 30 band concert. The Willmar Band performs from 2 30 to 3 00 as the umpire calls play ball. Early attendees will hear the band and watch practice before the game, with grandstand seating for about 700. Narrow escape from auto collision Sunday
Odin Anderson of Fahlun narrowly escaped injury Sunday morning when his Overland turned over on Spicer road near WIP mar. He swerved into a ditch to avoid a southbound car, leaving his top crushed and the vehicle badly damaged. The car caught fire but neighbors quickly extinguished it.
