A tragic murder in New London last Sunday night left Mrs. John Wright dead from a gunshot fired through a window by her intoxicated husband Wright. Coroner held inquest. Wright jailed awaiting grand jury action after waiving examination. Victim is daughter of Moses Pesky of Roseville.
The Wright farm near New London is the scene of a fatal gun incident. John Wright, intoxicated, fired through a window, hitting Mrs Annie Wright in the neck and shoulder as she fled. She died at Sunnyside Hospital after a dying statement. John Batterberry witnessed the shooting and helped summon aid. Wright is jailed in Willmar. a coroner's inquest found death by gunshot at his hands. Funeral plans center in Paynesville.
George S Estrem of Atwater dies at 54 after heart trouble. Norwegian born in 1864, he worked with Olson and Christenson Hardware, traveled for International Harvester, and leaves wife Bertina and sons Elven and Thomas. Funeral held April 25 with Rev Hoifield officiating. Also Lars Ostlund, 75, pioneer bricklayer, died. Elmer Knutson's wife Agnes dies at 20 in Granite Falls. Ruth Elizabeth Todd, 13 months, passes in Minneapolis after intestinal issue.
J M Lambert a well known eating house man of Willmar was found dead in his car in the garage Saturday night death due to heart failure Born August 2 1866 in Galesburg Illinois he lived in Emporia and Howard Kansas studied at Kansas State Normal School worked as brakeman conductor on Santa Fe Railroad 1886 1906 later ran hotels and eating houses including Gordon Ark and Decatur TL before moving to Willmar in 1914 Survived by wife Nettle N Lambert two children C W Lambert and Mrs H A Osmundson two grandchildren a brother Fr H Lambert of Emporia Funeral was held at the Osmundson residence with Rev W B Jones officiating Pallbearers listed Interment at Muirview
