Landmark Barber Shop Moves From Fourth Street Corner

The long standing Cramer barber shop on the corner of Fourth Street and Benson Avenue is being relocated after thirty two years at the site to allow Merchants Hotel expansion. Built in 1885 by Thorwaldtos, the shop later changed hands to I P Cramer and later to Sam Bonham who now owns and moves it to a new location.

Willmar Church Sees Resignation of Rev Paul Hallin

Glacier and Rainbow Trails Seek National Highway

A meeting on April 26, 1920 in Hampton Iowa between Glacier and Rainbow Trail representatives discussed combining trails into a single transcontinental highway from Charleston or Savannah to Migelor Park. The Rainbow Trail runs from St Louis through Oskaloosa Marshalltown Eldora to Hamp ton then St Pan, while Glacier follows St Paul to Grand Markts and west to Ginder ram. The union aims to connect southeast to northwest, filling a diagonal cross-country route and prompting trail directors to ratify the plan. Local officials from Glavier and Rainbow Trails named.
