Michael D Manning longtime Willmar resident and Civil War veteran died at his home April 21 age 78. He helped found local business and served as alderman and village president. Funeral conducted by Odd Fellows with military honors, burial at Fairview cemetery, life tenancy arranged for Oscar Larson family. He left no direct heirs but left a substantial public legacy in Minnesota.

E O Hogland a former county resident now living in Olivia with his family died at South Side Sanitarium on Wednesday April 19. He was a carpenter in Olivia and had been in poor health, seeking care in Minneapolis. He leaves two daughters and three sons including Mrs M W Hays of Johnson City Tenn Albert of Minneapolis Gunder George and Hilda of Olivia. Remains shipped to Olivia Thursday April 20 and funeral held Saturday afternoon in Olivia. many county friends attended.

Weed Law Meeting in Willmar May 4 1922
Public meeting in the Willmar house at 10 a m on Thursday May 4 1922 to discuss the weed law passed by the last legislature. County commissioners will be in session.
