Patriotic High School Program Observed on Last Thursday
Last Thursday morning a patriotic program was held at the high school with seventh and high school students, G A R members, and local officials in attendance. Speeches, recitations, and songs celebrated the nation as Gov Burnquist urged enlistment or farm work for the war effort. The event closed with the Star Spangled Banner.
