Sunday School and services at Saron church Spicer

Sunday School and services will be held at the Swedish Lutheran Saron church next Sunday afternoon at 2 and 3 o'clock respectively. An English class was started in the Saron Lutheran church last Sunday for those not reading Swedish. Several local residents and visitors were noted at Easter events around Spicer including Mrs Holt, Mr Thoring, Miss Kusset, and Emma Walberg. Dr. Jordan spoke on A Rambling Yankee in Europe at the First Methodist church and Napoleon at the high school auditorium, drawing strong praise for his descriptive power.

Willmar Mill Fire Destroys Four Story Mill in Spectacular Blaze

A four story Willmar roller mill burned Monday night with flames leaping from the roof and the frame collapsing in view of thousands. Firefighters led by Chief Selvig fought the blaze, saving nearby buildings while the mill and Wiggins building were gutted. Loss included the mill valued at 26000 plus stored grain and flour stocks.

Entertaining Evening for Si Loam Chapter Q E S Friends

Mrs C E Miller hosted Si Loam Chanter Q E S at her home Monday evening. Pink carnations perfumed the rooms as guests enjoyed several tables of cinch. Prizes went to Miss Clara Monson and A Bakke. Synod Sunday School Teachers Entertain Children

Sunday school teachers hosted an afternoon program from 3 to 5 30 featuring hymns a short talk by Rev N L A and games for country children followed by ice cream cake and a take home menu it was praised as one of the happiest annual entertainments for the Synod Sunday school.

Monday afternoon the club ladies were entertained by Mrs. Fred Wold. Mesdames Tyler and Handy reviewed Chapters 8 and 9, with a luncheon served by the hostess and an Easter centerpiece on the table. Mrs. Hornbeck reviewed The Principles of Scientific Management from the March American Magazine.

The Little Helpers of the Swedish Baptist Church celebrate their twenty first anniversary on Wednesday evening April 26 at o clock. A program will be rendered and an offering taken. Willmar Public Schools Dedicate Industrial Building

Last Thursday evening Willmar public schools celebrated the dedication of the new industrial school building with open house and exhibits. Students demonstrated manual training, domestic science, sewing, and grade work while visitors toured the high school building. Speeches by Russell Spicer, GC Tanning, Supt. Munroe, and Geo B Allen highlighted the history, Putnam and Lee Benson acts, and the growth of industrial education in Minnesota.
