Willmar Commercial Club votes to invite Stavanger laget and Hardangerlaget Norwegian-American divisions to hold their 1915 annual meetings in Willmar. Also invites Minnesota Swine Breeders Association for June. A home garden contest grants $25 for prizes. A flagpole will be erected on the Fourth Street stump for Decoration Day. Handy-Lewis Garage Expands in Benson Addition
Handy-Lewis Motor Company announces a 50 by 50 foot two story addition to the Benson avenue Sixth street garage. John Skooiheim won the contract to erect the pressed brick structure that will extend from Litchfield to Benson and provide modern flats on the second floor. The new building will replace the current bottling works and is seen as a big improvement to Benson avenue as the busy garage business outgrew the old facility.

Terrific explosion kills firemen in Minnesota town
Two firemen were killed and others injured when a fire and explosion destroyed four buildings in Dawson Minnesota on a Sunday morning. The blast, heard miles away, lifted roofs and shattered plate glass, with total losses estimated above sixty thousand dollars. Fire Chief Thompson and Herbert Farmen died. Marvin E. Jacobson and Arthur Kreisel were injured, others escaped. Investigators suspect a nitroglycerine or guncotton device used by yeggmen. Obituary of Nicholas Gabrielson Pioneer of Fahlun Township
Nicholas Gabrielson a long respected Fahlun resident died at Big Kandiyah Lake on April 4 after four years of heart trouble. Born December 25 1836 in Tromsd Norway he emigrated with his wife Gunhild Sivertson and nine children to America in 1870 settling first in Chicago. He was a carpenter in Chicago then a farmer in Kandiyohi County retiring fourteen years ago to his lakeshore home. He served on town and school boards and remained active in politics. He leaves a wife ten children and many grandchildren. Funeral April 9 at the Norwegian M B Church with Rev J W Heard and Rev Haugland officiating.
