Delegates from four Kandiyohi posts and auxiliaries will gather in Willmar on Monday April 1 to discuss the proposed Memorial Hospital for Minnesota ex servicemen in Rochester. Also on the agenda is a summer pledge drive and a housing project at Trott Avenue West, plus contracts for a $16 000 residence with J H Olsen Co Benson plumbing and Peter Pearson electrical work. Minnesota creameries including Raymond, Svea, Clara City, Hancock, Benson, Murdock, Sunbury and Pennock will ship butter in carload lots directly to the New York market. Austin FP Hanscom Post and three Kandiyohi County posts meet in Willmar on April 17 to discuss a proposed Legion Hospital in Rochester for former service members and dependents. The Mayo Clinic will provide care free of charge where possible, with a payment-ability based contribution from those able to pay, overseen by a Minnesota Legion Board and State Department trustees. The hospital will be owned by the Minnesota Department and funded by Legionnaires, with no fixed dividends and priority care for eligible veterans and families. A fund-raising event in Rosland on April 18 includes admission with lunch and a pie social. Milan A. Colden arrives in Willmar to resume work at Ford Service Station as bookkeeper.

Ten Violators of Fish Laws Arrested at Green Lake
Ten violators of state fish laws were arrested Saturday evening and Sunday morning at Green Lake by Game Wardens Ernest Olson Sam Warner and Hugh Campbell. Eight men used spears on pickerel during a moonlit Saturday evening in the creek feeding Green Lake. Two were surprised Sunday morning. They face Municipal Court this week. The offense carries a ten dollar fine plus costs about three dollars. The season opens May 15.
