Man Dies After Laying On Train Track Near Atwater

A man believed drunk waited by the Great Northern track about four o'clock Monday near Atwater. He lay down as an empty passenger train approached and was struck, dying Tuesday morning from a fractured skull. Identity unknown. description: five foot six, 154 pounds, red hair and mustache. clothing found. investigations continue.

Peter Prins of Holland proposes a strawboard mill in Willmar with yearly capacity of five thousand tons and forty jobs. He has studied peat fields locally and argues Dutch strawboard offers cheaper, lighter alternative to wood. Death of Wilma Hallberg at Valley City ND

Miss Wilma Hallberg daughter of Nels E Hallberg of Genneuser died Friday night at nine in Valley City ND from appendicitis. She and sister Adina moved to Cooperstown ND to start a repair shop. Funeral to be held Wednesday at Swedish Lutheran church Atwater with burial north of town. She was 20 years old leaving five sisters three brothers and a father.
