Man Killed by G N Train Near Buford Mondak
Ole tunde a farmer living seven miles east of Williston was struck by a Great Northern train Tuesday night between Buford and Mondak. He was cut to pieces with a severed head and a leg torn off. His back was mangled by the wheels as the victim lay on the tracks. He appeared to have started back toward Mondak when found west of Buford. The deceased was single. Funeral services will be held Saturday.

Teachers and Directors Meet for Weeklong Institute
A combined Teachers Institute and School Directors meeting will be held at the Congregational church for the week starting October 18. The first three days focus on the institute, with Thursday announcing winners of the Boys and Girls Industrial Contest. Obituary of Louisa Hall Died in Ekalaka Montana
Louisa Hall aged 65 years 11 months and 8 days died Friday at the home of her sister in Ekalaka Montana after a long lingering illness. Born in Ohio she lived in Minnesota and of late years with Dr. Frank Berglund and Mr. John Hamilton of Garden Valley. She was married in Minneapolis to Bradfield H. Hall and had three children two daughters and one son Bryan Hall of Horse Idaho and Mrs. John Hamilton of Garden Valley surviving. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church with Rev. H piles Harriss officiating and interment in the family lot of the city cemetery.

The blast shook the city six blocks in all directions near the Santa Fe depots. An inspector opened the cap triggering ignition as the car was vented after leaking gasoline. The blast destroyed a freight storehouse and demolished nearly a score of buildings.
