Grenora opened a new three room building on September 18 with Hofflund and a new principal. Lindahl Consolidated, Stony Creek Consolidated, and District 41 reported closures due to scarlet fever and diphtheria. The Farmers' club funded a Hofflund school foundation, saving about 1600 dollars. County school payments totaled 6365.80 for Williams County with 4547 pupils and 1.40 per capita. The Williams meeting runs Oct 31–Nov 1, Mountrail follows. Helen J. Sullivan tours schools teaching canning in several districts. The Missouri Ridge and Happy Hollow clubs host a demonstration in Williston.

Secretary Morrill visited Glacier National Park and cities Havre Great Falls and Williston to observe civic methods. In Great Falls he spoke at a Rainbow Hotel luncheon on city efficiency using the budget system with full time staff and a $17000 annual fund. Havre showed civic progress with roads and boulevarding with expert oversight and farmer cooperation.

China Wedding Marks 20th Anniversary at Maydell Farm

Charles Shafer returns from Gilford Montana after joining brother Martin Shafer who died soon after arrival.
