Rebels Collapse in Colombia Interior Reported

Washington dispatch reports the Colombian legation says rebels have returned to Agua Dulce signaling the collapse of the rebellion. Interior Colombia is pacified, rail traffic free, and reinforcement movements from Barranquilla to Colon noted as troops concentrate near Panama and Colon to deter any rebel attack. Colom­bians foresee disapproval over Commander McLean arming disarmed troops crossing the isthmus.

Wisconsin Man Shot In Bed In Ashland Mystery

Michael Miller district superintendent was found shot in the head at Nash Ashland with a .38 caliber revolver nearby. Mrs Cassidy and Miss Dubinska were jailed as suspects. Fists and Pistols End Fatal Shooting in Kentucky

In Jackson Kentucky near Callahan's store on Long's Creek a quarrel between two boys led to Garden Denton being killed and Harrison McDaniel and Dutch Burton fatally wounded. Willie Burton Bud Thompson and Rhodes Hall were lightly wounded. eight or ten others were returning from a mill when the altercation escalated and firearms came into play. Alexander Riley was arrested on the fatal shooting charge.

Pardon Confirmed for Montana Highwayman Harry Clark

The state board of pardons confirmed Harry Clark, a Lewis and Clark county highwayman serving a forty year term, to be released on Christmas Eve. Clark, who worked with a dating partner in Helena years ago, shot a policeman during an arrest attempt and was sentenced by Judge W H Hunt, now governor of Porto Rico, with ex-Attorney Gene Nolan urging the clemency.

Convict Schwartz Falls From Fifth Floor at Stillwater Prison

Stillwater reporter says convict Schwartz attempted suicide by jumping from the fifth gallery at Stillwater prison yesterday afternoon. He fractured his left thigh and was unconscious on impact as guards and medical staff responded. Schwartz, housed in a shoe shop work detail, had shown moodiness since admission.
