The Williston High School steam heating system, by Anton Jevnager, was tested before most of the board of education last Saturday. A light fire started the modern sectional Kellogg boiler burned lignite slack efficiently, heating 467 rooms with 1000 feet of piping, asbestos protection, and robust safety features. The plant is praised as among the state’s best for its size. Also noted is the Aug 23 opening of Minnesota’s Big Woods Country to passenger travel on the Chicago Milwaukee St Paul Railway, with two up to date trains linking Mankato and the Twin Cities through Wells.
