Three Skeletons Found During Excavation At Round House
During trench work for partition walls last week three human skeletons were found together two in fair preservation showing Indian features and high cheekbones. A red-brown soil around them suggested a burial or massacre. A later note mentions relics and a lower jaw with teeth, while the editor muses about possible gold fillings and jewels. The digging, halted by town officials, yielded a fragment of one lower jaw. Also included is a humorous tale of a clergyman unable to speak without notes and mispronouncing a line about the married state.
