Final Citizenship Granted By District Court Thirty Five Citizens
Last Saturday the district court in the courthouse held a hearing for final citizenship applicants. Judge Fisk presided with Commissioner Kasper and Cle. Court J. O. Siebert assisting. Thirty five individuals were granted full American citizenship after answering questions and taking the oath. Woman Dies After Laudanum Suicide at Great Northern Hotel
Helen Jorgensen alias Walker and Chris tiansen ended her life in a Williston room by taking two ounces of laudanum. She had stayed with Adolph Anderson of Plentywood, who believed she was his wife, and died after hours of medical effort. Anderson, later jailed for unlawful cohabitation, faced a 30 day sentence and $125 costs. The deceased, about 48, long addicted to drugs and alcohol, had lived in Albert Lea, Minnesota, and operated a resort there before moving west.

Track Worker Killed in Guthrie Yard Accident
An Italian section worker Jasper Copelle was killed Saturday morning in the local yards when a Guthrie & Company box car moved and mangled him. The 26 year old, buried from St Josephs Catholic church in Schafer North Dakota October 22. Ira Cray was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary with costs after a Monday trial and immediate appeal.

Family murder near Ray shocks Williams county
A man, his wife, and their twelve year old daughter were shot dead near Ray Tuesday evening in a deliberate, cold blooded murder. Minot N D Retains Three Officials in Socialist Recall Loss
In Minot North Dakota on October 20 the penal election following August I W W riots produced a landslide for city officials. President Nehemiah Devis Police Magistrate John Lynch and Commissioner Shaw were re elected by over 400 votes. Socialist Commissioner Dorman was recalled and John Wilson won the seat. About 1195 votes were cast the highest in the citys history. The campaign featured sharp exchanges between socialists and citizens and many observers were surprised by the socialist defeat. The strong turnout reflected intense local interest and statewide attention.

Four Miners Hurt by Blast at Local Mine
Four miners were injured in a powder blast at the Huso heye Ellithorpe mine two miles east of town on Thursday afternoon.
