Williston Institute Recap and County News Settles
Friday closed the largest Williams County institute with Prof Kennedy on The Power of Suggestion and local talent music. A Weather Bureau talk, a teachers’ vote of thanks, and a Friday Opera House dance attracted about 200. Resolutions praise conductors, superintendent Mercer, and local speakers. Two new inhabitants, Hanson and Zimmerman, escaped from custody amid curfew concerns over youth mischief in Williston.

The First Settlers Meeting at Springbrook
The first settlers of Springbrook gathered in October in a Williams County schoolhouse. Prof Kingston led the meeting, with Hon C F Wheeler delivering a Shakepore text based address.
