The opening heat saw Captain George veer into Al Stanley and drag rider Brawley before a stop. Jockeys Murphy and Nolan were fined $250 each for rough riding in heats two and four. George Gano claimed the Tennessee stake in straight heats as Driver Murphy scored his second win of the day. The 2:09 pace race was not completed.

Olson Baby Dies at 14 Months in City
