Williams County Board OKs Public Roads and Funding Bonds
Williams County commissioners met in regular session October 6 1902 with Westcott presiding. They approved road openings from sections 11 10 and 25 and ordered a road survey. A bid award for a county pest house went to A A Anstill at 825.00. On October 7 the board adopted a funding bond resolution of 20000 to pay outstanding warrants, with taxes levied 1906 21 1911 1500 1912 1916 3000 1917 1921 3500 and terms 5.5 percent interest payable May 1 and November 1. The bond sale contract to Gowran Co was approved and delivery conditioned on cancellation of existing warrants. Other actions included road petitions grants tax abatements adjustments and franchise for a Williston to Buford telephone line.
