Receipts of range cattle are not heavy this week with bar prices down as corn fed natives fall about 40 cents per hundred in ten days. Grass range cattle mostly below 4 cents. Anticipate higher receipts next month and potential lower prices. Part of sales include 168 good native feeders 1148 lbs at 3.95, 68 fat steers 1040 lbs at 3.60, 125 South Dakota cattle 1331 lbs at 4.25, 69 cows 1014 lbs at 2.75, 116 cows and heifers 877 lbs at 1.97, and bulls 1300-1400 lbs at 2.20. Grass range sheep and lambs prices generally steady with fat wethers 3.50-3.90, feeding wethers 3.35-3.50, fat ewes 3.25-3.65, feeding ewes 2.25-2.75, choice fat lambs 5.25-5.50, feeding lambs 4.00-4.65, fat yearlings 4.00-4.25, feeding yearlings 3.50-4.75. Sheep sales include 1800 feeding lambs at 4.60, 379 fat yearling wethers at 4.00, 1000 fat yearling ewes 4.00, 1000 yearling wethers 4.40.
