Rose Valley Community Notes and Local Updates
Rev W J Snow organized a church of twelve in Buford on the 10th. Betty Hereford and Charles Thornton visited Trenton last Monday. Immigrants from Athens county Ohio, J W Ruber and family, live 23 miles north of Williston and stayed with W P Thornton last week. Mrs Hiran Simmone had her shack treated. Mr Lutz installed a pump last week. Thornton Carliale works at Jackson's ranch. Mrs Joe Westbrook helped present a gift book in Rose Valley in her honor. W P Thornton visited the Nelson area recently. A storm on the night of the 14th surprised Missouri folk. Rain drenched the region from the 16th to 19th with snow bluster. Potatoes look promising if frost stays away. Lutz and Tomme Argenbright planted sweet corn and stored canned corn for roasting ears. Mrs Joe Westbrook's Missouri hens are producing eggs, nine dozen weekly. Simmons brothers went to Williston on the 19th for grain and expand acreage. Our valley enjoyed another rain from the 21st to 23rd and we hope it reached the rest of the state.
