In a major Dakota decision Te siprene court declares Chapter 25 of the 1895 laws unconstitutional as it expands Stark and Billings counties into new territory. The ruling limits taxation to prior counties and denies recovery of past taxes by cattlemen who had paid to Stark and Billings. The case tests the legality of a long disputed boundary adjustment affecting western North Dakota.
A Kenmare fire destroyed about half the business houses last Sunday night. Local social updates confirm Mrs. Robert Newell Jr and others traveling between St Paul and Fargo. Rev. John L. Maile and Rev. S. E. Ryan to preach in Fargo and Jamestown area churches next Sunday. Langdon Courier Democrat urges milk dealers to study the law before it takes effect.
Professor Houton cites ten years of travel claiming Green's August Flower helps dypepsia, deranged liver and stomach, and constipation for tourists and salesmen. Barley production climbs from 44 million bushels in 1888 to 90 million this year while hops in Washington and Oregon rise as central New York wanes.
